Scientific Research

The EMF-Bioshield® Protective System (based on A-Nox® technology), is the only one in its category to have been submitted to extensive testing and laboratory experiments. The results of this research have been published in 47 abstracts and 15 proceedings in 17 international scientific congresses (see complete List of Publications).

Developmental Period (in days) 2 2 3
Comment: A delay in growth was observed between Algae exposed to VDT radiation without any protection and Algae exposed to the same VDT equipped with EMF-Bioshield® protection..

Death Ratio (%) 5 2 12
Comment: In Daphnias, two abnormal peaks of mortality can be observed (Zanolo, 1993). In both cases, the EMF-Bioshield® protection system ensured instead normal growth and development.

Biological Material: Fruit Flies (Drosophilas Charolles) Observations Non Exposed Exposed and Protected Exposed and not Protected

Death Ratio (%) 14 14 32
Comment: In Drosophilas (Charolles), a long exposure to VDT radiation drastically increases the total mortality percentage from 14.8 to 32% (Laverdure, 1991). Exposed to the same VDT equipped with EMF-Bioshield® protection, the total mortality percentage does not show any increase.

Developmental Period (in days) 10/11 10 11/13
Comment: In Drosophilas (Oregon R), a long exposure to VDT radiation delays the developmental process by 10 to 12/13 days (Ricerca Laboratory, 1992).

% of Malformations 9 10 15 (= +60%)
Comment: In 3 chick embryo test groups (control group, VDT group, and EMF-Bioshield®-equipped VDT group) with a minimum of 295 eggs for each group, repeated tests showed a significant increase in the percentage of abnormal embryos and premature deaths with VDT exposure when compared to the control group. Abnormalities increased approximately 60%. When EMF-Bioshield® was attached to the VDTs, the percentage of abnormal embryos declined and approached that of the control group.

Comment: With Rats (Whitestar), experimental exposure to a VDT were limited ot the neonative period (1 to 15 days). In males and females, significant body weight deficiency resulted, as well as behavioral disturbances (number of micturations, groomings and locomotor activity). Exposure to a similarVDT equipped with EMF-Bioshield® protection showed normal development and behavioral patterns.

Comment: This experiment shows a 300% increase of the apoptosis and necrosis in the culture of human testicular biopsies after 24 hours of exposure to a “low radiation” computer (norm TCO 95), but no increase when the screen is equipped with the EMF-Bioshield® protection.
