Work by W.R. Adey as described in the Nair et al. paper shows "Extremely small signal changes can trigger major biochemical response critical to the functioning of the cell." At this time, S.E.I.C. has been unable to identify EMF measuring technologies that measure field strengths below 10-6 watts/square centimeter.

ELF and VLF radiation are the types generated by VDTs. The upper range of VLF is 30kHz.
NoRad is a well advertised computer screen described as a "radiation shield." The NoRad advertisement states, "Greater than 50% magnetic (H-field) attenuation above 30kHz." NoRad company litterature is silent regarding NoRad screens' performance below 30kHz, implying that NoRad does not attenuate magnetic field effects below 30kHz. The brochure confirms this in its closing sentences: "Finally, in separate tests of H-field reduction, the NoRad Shield uniquely provided substantial protection above approximately 30kHz." Also: "NoRad Corporation has under development an additional product which, used in combination with the NoRad Shield, will provide the world's first full-frequency-range protection from the entire spectrum of VDT EMR emissions, both E-field and H-field."
